Greg Sparks is the President and Founder of CIO Source, a firm of senior IT practitioners focused on strategy and leadership. He also volunteers on the board of the Colorado chapter of the Society for Information Management. Greg recently served as the CIO at Blue Ocean Enterprises, and previously transformed the IT and BPM organization at OtterBox during a period of extreme growth. He also consulted in leadership roles at Clearwire and Aircell (Gogo) during the rapid growth of those companies. Prior to founding CIO Source, Greg held technology positions in Fortune 500 telecommunications companies and a leading management consulting firm. At Level 3 Communications, he led multiple organizations covering all major aspects of IT, including Strategy & Architecture, Development, Program Management, Infrastructure, and Quality Assurance. He also held IT leadership roles for five major company acquisitions. Prior to Level 3, Greg managed technical architecture teams at Sprint and consulted for Andersen Consulting (now Accenture). He started his IT career at Abilene Christian University, where he also received his bachelor's and master's degrees. Greg is a refined and energetic executive who enjoys applying technology to increase business effectiveness. When not at work, Greg enjoys hanging out with his wife and three children, volunteering at church, hiking, and reading.
